Tinchy Stryder – Is it me, or is the genre of Grime music making a successful comeback? Do you like Grime, or is not to your tastes?

The former "Prince" of Grime seems to now be the "King" of Grime

The former "Prince" of Grime seems to now be the "King" of Grime

Whether you love or hate the genre; Grime music seems to be making a successful comeback. From its early emergence in East London in the early 2000’s the Grime scene has seen some interesting changes throughout its development. Many people where skeptical about grime, and concluded that although it was an original genre, there was no money to be made from it, due to the lack of its inability to relate to the British public. However the past year has really seen the emergence of grime artists collaborating with pop artists which has resulted in a lot of grime artists making electronic dance tracks – for instance “I know” by Scorcher or “Superhero” by Wretch 32. Of course the most famed of these new flurry of artists is Kwasi Danquah A.K.A Tinchy Stryder. This month saw Tinchy Stryder gain his second number one song of the year which is a great achievement within the british music industry and shows that grime is slowly being accepted. Then again it could be argued that Stryder is a former grime artist that has now turned to Pop. Is such a statement justified?

What do you think?

And do you like Grime music? Or is it not to your tastes?

Michael + Jackson = GENIUS! What has happened to the days of pure creativity in the music industry? Have music consumers being turned into commodities that consume whatever product there given? Even if its garbage? What do you think?

MJ

Are we ever going to see genius within the music industry again? Or are we forever going to be immersed with music that is marketed to clones that buy the same product over, and over again? I’m not too sure. I love a lot of commericial music, and I think its great. But I would really like to see some artists doing new things?

Am I the only one that thinks this?

Would Megan Fox be as attractive if she was blonde?

What is it about Megan Fox? That combination of dark hair, blue eyes, and red lipstick seems to accentuate her beauty and sexuality to another level. But would she look as good if she was blonde? It’s hard to vizualize it, isn’t ?

What a pose!

Is Stronger by Kanye West the best Techno Rap song you’ve heard? In fact, how many Techno rap songs do you know?

Harder Better Faster Stronger

Harder Better Faster Stronger

I thought that Stronger by Kanye West was a breakthrough record within music. It fused the futuristic, electronic sci – fi like daft punk sound and synthesized it with Hip Hop. The song was a brilliant success – I expected many more records to come out like it, but I haven’t really heard anything like it ever since.

Do you think there should be more songs on the airwaves that fuse futuristic sounds with hip hop? Do you think that formula works?

Would be great to hear what you dudes and dolls think!!

Raf Simons Astronauts Boots

Astronauts Boots

Astronauts Boots

I’ve only just recently been reading about Belgian designer Raf Simons. And the design of the pair of sneakers above literally blew my mind away into another world. They are futuristic, yet modern. Simple, yet complex. Engaging, but not arrogant. Raf Simons has definetly made a fantastic piece of creative art, and these sneakers are currently retailing for roughly £430 – and I can see why.
If you want to know more about Raf Simons, and understand his philosophies behind his great fashion ideas.
Then you can purchase Raf Simons Redux at the Amazon store.

“We are the Sci – fi Hip Hop Masters of the Space Age”

Welcome to Aranes

Welcome to Aranes

There aren’t as many people listening to our music compared to the likes of Lady Gaga, or Kanye West. Sometimes it can become disheartening when you want to share your talent with the whole world within minutes; but can’t because you don’t have a £3,000,000 marketing budget.

But such negativity will not stop us.

As music 2.0 dawns, its clear to see that we are in the second (or third) phase of the music industry as we’ve known it. And as the independent artist becomes more powerful; it has become even harder to distinguish yourself from amongst other artists.

But we will not stop making the music that we desire to make.

To whoever is reading this. We invite you to come with us on a journey..For this isn’t just our journey, its yours too.

Aranes are the music architects of the Space Age; and we are here to deliver a product that is from another planet. We are creating a sound/style of music that hasn’t been heard before. Our music isn’t for everyone, it has been refined in the pot of creativity and made to function as a soundtrack to the lives of people like YOU.

What are your views on pornography?

Pornography. A tool used to degrade women? Or a pleasant form of escape? Or both?

Regardless of what one may think, the pornography industry has become a lucrative market over the past few years. Pornography sales indicate that the porn industry is worth inbetween $7 – $10 billion dollars. A big number.

Many pornography viewers use pornography as a means of relieving stress, and escaping their everyday lives.  Some justify the viewing of pornography because they believe that its a safe way for them to release their sexual frustration in a way thats accepted as normal. Then again, this point of view can be countered against by the fact that many pornographic viewers often find themselves locked by the chains of sexual addiction; thus leading to extreme manifestations of this such as rape.

On the other hand, there are many cultures which choose to suppress any desires for sexual activity – unless its within marriage. A friend of mine who came back recently from India told me a story regarding Indian men chasing some of his female companions into the mountains for sex…Such a story causes one to wonder what our society would be like if the authorities sort to attempt to repress sexual activity and viewings.

Of course, its clear to see that some people delve deep into pornography, and end up turning into rapists and murderers; but in comparison to the majority of the male population these are just anomalies on a graph. What would our society be like if men in the western world forced themselves to feel guilty about their own sexual instincts? Is it better to have sexual freedom for most men, in exchange for a few rapists (which is a utilitarian view). Or should we totally ban pornography in order to change how the majority of men view women?

What do you think?

Are you a victor or a loser?

Music biographies mesmerized me when I was a kid. With Miller it was the addition of trombones. The pro […]
